          Books About Our History

I discovered these books at a convenience store in the middle of nowhere while driving through Southern New Mexico and in the gift shop while staying at a Holiday Inn in Salt Lake City, Utah. You probably won't find them in the Midwest or on the East Coast.

If you're looking for an unusual, humorous, inexpensive gift for an adult friend with a sense of humor, The Truth About Life section is what you are looking for.  The American Pantry Collection offers a variety of unusual cookbooks. The Wayside Bookshop offers a glimpse into our past and is suitable reading material for teenagers looking for stories about the history of our wonderful country.

Apricot Press was started in 1993 by a school teacher and his wife while they were living in Washington State. Things went so well that they quit their jobs and went full time with their fledgling business. They are a small family company and deliver many of their orders in person.

Most of the books are written by the owner and his two daughters.
